Ok, we did the top rated twitter reviews over today (1/19) and yesterday (1/18). We reviewed 7 twitter applications during this time and found things to like and things not to like about just about everyone of them. We got a lot of feedback from the community about the applications we reviewed, based on our poll a good deal of our audience is using Twidroid, and the second application people were using is none?

There are that many people out there not using twitter, but have android phones? We did not expect that, it just shows that twitter has not completely been accepted into the Android community however this year we may see that number rise substantially.

Well enough speculation lets get into the results of the top rating...

We rated the following applications to find out what the top rated twitter application is:

• Twigee
• Seesmic
• Xeeku Tweet
• Swift App for Twitter
• Twidgit Lite
• Tweeteev
• Twidroid

Lets look at some of the things we found with each of the applications;

Twigee

pros: multiple users (but not easy to change from one user to the next),

drawbacks: weak interface, no auto refresh

Seesmic

pros: solid twitter application, upload of pictures, video and location, everything is free in this application

drawbacks: single user

Xeeku Tweet

pros: good navigation, provides a lot of functionality

drawbacks: still buggy, interface is kind of bland, requires the pro for some advanced features
