Swift App for Twitter is a pretty good twitter application for your android phone. It is has good features for drilling into twitter very fluidly.

This twitter application has a timeline that starts off as soon as you are registered an open the application, it has a drop down set of buttons at the top which can be enabled from hitting the current view (in the case of the left image it is the Timeline button), and some really good features in the context menu at the bottom. My favorite function, especially on a timeline with a lot of entries, is the Jump to Now function. This will take you instantly to the top and refresh your timeline. Its a good time saver if you are reading that huge list and want to get up fast with the lastest tweets.

From the main screen you can directly go into your timeline, mentions, direct messages, perform a search or check profiles of other users

Tweeting

Tweeting can be done either from the menu bar at the bottom or from the main screens image button at the upper right. The tweet window is an popup that sits over your current view and is pretty simplistic. It also has an advanced services button to add to your tweet text. Tweeting went pretty fast in this application with this popup.

Twitter User Profiles

Clicking on the name of a person on twitter will bring you to their screen where you can view their tweets and also interact with them through the standard reply/dm, in addition you can follow or even open up their real page on the twitter web site.
