Twidroid for Twitter is one of the most popular twitter applications for the Android operating system. It has a ton of features for twitter and is upgradeable to Twidroid Pro.

Twidroid has a great view into your timeline, navigation is located at the bottom menu strip and is really intuitive.
 Tweeting
Tweeting can be done while you see a view of your current timeline. You can add a number of actions to enhance your tweets from location services, photos, and video. You do have further configuration of the additional services in the Settings screen.
   Search
Twidroid will let you perform searches through twitter, including trends. You can also save your searches for later in case you are always looking for a common theme in twitter. Twidroid also is able to check twittersphere.com directly within the application to get that view of what is going on.
