Round Three: Fandango comes out of the gates with simplicity and efficiency. My first impressions are how effectively they have managed to condense practically everything I would want to know on the home screen.

I'm defaulted to movies "In Theaters" tab which is broken down into Opening This Week, Top Box Office as well as Near Me. The content is presented very well including Movie Art, Movie Title, Rating, Runtime, Release Date and Fan Rating. Images were very quick to load and once you select a specific movie, the movie art becomes a click to play movie trailer.

Your location is instantly calculated with no noticeable lag and results are displayed inside of every movie selection. Start times are categorized by movie theaters according to specific dates chosen. Coupled with showtimes is a Movie Details tab that displays the Cast, Director, Genre and Synopsis.

A noteworthy feature is the search capabilities that come built into the application, definitely makes looking for movie titles that much easier although i don't know how much regular use anyone would get out of it. Fandango has chosen to waive any ticket purchasing fee's for their newly released application until March 7th 2010 so that makes this application that much better.

I give this application my seal of approval for not over complicating what should other wise be a simple process. Very nice and clean interface, as well as fast and informative. Could this be the overall pick? You'll have to wait and see.
