The game Jewels lets you choose between 3 modes of game play, Normal, Timed and Infinite. In Normal Mode you will see a screen of brightly colored jewels, arranged in a grid pattern. The object of the game is to match jewels, with a similar shape and color by selecting one jewel and switching it with the jewel next to it. The more jewels you can align in a row, the more points you will get. In the figure below, on the bottom right, you see a blue diamond selected. If you switch it with the white jewel above it, then you will have a match of 3 in a row.

When you make a match, the jewels you aligned will fall away and new jewels will replace them. On the bottom left of your game screen, you will see the bonus points you will earn for aligning the jewels. In the figure below you see the progress bar in blue at the bottom of the game screen filling, as matches are made. When the bar is full you will change to the next level screen and earn a higher level of bonus points.

In the timed mode, the bar at the bottom will begin to fill and you must make matches before you run out of time. The timed mode can be very nerve-racking. This game is simple to play and is certainly a game that turns your brain on autopilot. See what the longest chain you can form is.
