gTask

So Android will sync just about every service Google has with the exception of the Tasks, if you need to manage these both on your phone and on your computer then this is the application for you. This is a very lightweight application that does this easily.

You can download this on the Market here.

gTasks will sync with your task list on Google and allow you to completely manipulate your list of tasks right from your phone. From the main screen you can create a new task, check off an existing task, clear you completed tasks, and also drill into your task lists.

Task Management

Creating a new task is easy to do with the interface, you can setup the name of the task, a due date and a description of the task that needs to be done.

gTask also provides a convenient 2x2 widget so you can have a quick look at your list of things to do.

Manipulation on Google (via a Computer)

Google allows you to manipulate tasks from your Gmail account when you are on a computer browser.

Google Tasks

Once you have clicked on your tasks you get a context popup on the right side where you can manipulate them. It does look pretty similar to the interface for gTasks and that is no mistake.

Conclusions

This is a great application and I have started using it daily as it is very easy to use and provides a great synching mechanism. Bear in mind that it is still in beta, and I have seen some delays on synching. I would recommend that the user manually synch the application via the interface but that is a small price to pay for the back up onto a computer. There will certainly be some good things coming for this application and I see it rivaling some of the bigger players for its ease and connectivity to Google.
