Vancouver Olympics 2010 is a great little news application that can help you experience and follow all of the news from the 2010 Winter Olympic games that you are specifically interested in. It also comes with a widget that can give you the quick glimpse you are looking for. You can download this on the Market here. The main application has multiple channels for its feeds. The first is Vanoc (Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games). When you open each feed the refresh can be a little slow but the articles do contain a lot of information.
There is an NBC news feed for any information they are posting online.
The Sports tab is the start of the personalized information, you can decide in the preferences which sport you want information on and this tab will continue to report on it. In this case I had chosen hockey.
You can look at the news for a single country that is participating in the games. USA was the default choice for me!
