Ringdroid

The easy answer as to why this is a must have application for your Android device is simple........who likes default ringtones?

On the Market here.

Its not hard to understand why this application is so popular. People love customizing their new phone and a significant part of that is having a custom ringtone for friends and family maybe even work :( All of that to say I'm pretty sure its just as important as making sure you have a great looking wallpaper.

This application is very fast to load and easy to manage. It automatically scans your phone and SD card for available music file formats that can be imported for editing. Currently the supported file formats are as follows: MP3, AAC/MP4(iTunes), WAV and 3GPP/AMR(Voice Recorder on Phones). The app allows you to save your file for many uses including Ringtone, Alarm or Notification and if you're not specific, you won't be able to find it when you go to change that specific setting.

Although you can save files larger than 30 sec (maximum ring of a ringtone) its pretty much useless because you'll never get to hear anything after that time frame. I found the Zoom feature very useful when trying to pinpoint a specific beginning or end to my file and the slider bars are very accurate on the Nexus One/Sprint Hero when I tested them.

All in all, I absolutely love the flexibility of assigning new ringtones to friends when i get a new song that I really like. There is also no beating the price tag (Free) as it it definitely the best ringtone maker IMO. There is almost no learning curve for this app, everything is pretty straight forward and I hope you guys have fun with it.
