It is still Jan. 6th and CES is abuzz with Android news!! Here is what we have learned so far:

AT&T has taken the better late than never approach with the release of Android OS handsets. Today at the AT&T Developer Summit the carrier announced  five new Android-based smartphones. All which will be debuting on the network in the first half of 2010.The first of the new AT&T Android phones to be announced was the Dell Mini 3. Although pricing and specifics on the phone were not provided, it appears to be as rumored, with a full touch screen and small stature.

A second phone rumored to be headed to AT&T and now confirmed by Sanjay Jha of Motorola, is the Backflip. The Motorola Backflip has a unique construction,

providing a QWERTY keyboard that flips open on a hinge, operating on Android 2.1 and sporting the Motoblur UI. Although yet to be mentioned at CES, pcworld.com speculated in a recent article that HTC is expected to be providing an AT&T handset as well.

If you are already an owner of an Android product from Motorola, not to worry. Tonight a Motorola reps confirmed that both the Cliq and Droid will be getting Android 2.1 upgrades. To sweeten the deal even more, it was announced by Jha that Motorola Droid would be getting Adobe Flash 10.1 in the near future. A full line-up of Motorola's Android releases will be provided in an upcoming press conference. We will post more CES Android releases as we learn more. Stay tuned!
