Air Hockey on a mobile device is certainly nothing new, but out of all of them I definitely like this one the best, with some exceptions. The app load time is definitely speedy, then again, the Nexus One its running on could also be playing a part in it. The developer seems to be very involved in his project, something that's always welcome.
You can download it here on the market
I have seen frequent updates as well as prompt answers when contacted by email. The game itself is a joy to play. The graphics run very smooth both on my Nexus One and Hero. I really appreciated the attention to detail by placing the puck mallet slightly above your finger so you could actually see it.
The game comes with one or two player options but no online game play which I would love to see in the future. Although there is a two player mode, I noticed there is no multi-touch enabled which makes playing with a friend extremely awkward. In order for the other player to gain control of the puck mallet, the first player needs to remove their finger from the screen.
Not really sure why this is the case but its worth noting since it could be a deal breaking mistake. Overall I was satisfied at the incredible skill level of ai game play when playing on single player. For the 99¢ price tag this is by far the best air hockey game on the Android platform.
