Are you starting to get tired of how frustrating the Nexus One keyboard can be? Want better predictive text? Lets take a look at "Better Keyboard".

You can download this on the Market here.

As the name suggests, in many ways it is definitely a better keyboard than the stock Nexus One keyboard. I loved it so much that i made it my default even above Swype! One of the key features in the application is that it capitalizes words for you when it senses you're at the beginning of a sentense or are declaring a name. The auto correction on it is spectacular and it also picks up on new user entered words very quickly as well as gives them higher priority over the native dictionary words.

It gives you access to a plethora of symbols by simply pressing and holding the letter attached to it. No need to go digging in annoying sub-button layouts unless you want to, the option is available for it. In addition the the upper case/lower case letters on the keys that we have all know as the "QWERTY' keyboard layout, there is a second layout that functions as a mix between QWERTY and T9. It seems to work well and is pretty easy to pick up on but i found it not to be my cup of tea in the end. Atleast all of you path blazers will have the choice if you want to learn to use that specific layout.

One other genius feature in the app is the ability to switch from keyboard to keyboard by simply swiping from side to side as if activating Voice Command on the stock Nexus One keyboard. The final feature i'd like to point out is the ability to swipe the keyboard off of the screen when done using.

I can't tell you how much i appreciate such intuitiveness built into this application. No one wants to hit the back button or the enter key thats way too close to the palm of your hand. This feature was the prize winner for me and hopefully you'll enjoy this as much as I have.
